TED - Ideas “Definitely” Worth Spreading

TED: Ideas worth spreading

From the TED website:
“TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It
started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from
those three worlds. Since then its scope has become ever broader.”

TED has now become an annual conference that hosts some of the world’s most fascinating minds and posts the videos of every speech and talk on its website for free. Some of the big names in the past few years include Al Gore, Jane Goodall, Brian Greene, Stephen Hawking, and many others.

They have a great mix of intellectuals, innovators, conservationists, religious thinkers, and musicians. You could spend hours looking around. They’ve even got a podcast feed for those of you into that sort of thing. They had a lot of interest in 2008, but I am betting that 2009 will be an all-star year for TED. Let me know if you agree.

TED is fantastic - you can loose hours to it, and be inspired in the process. Wouldn’t it be great if this kind of stuff was on TV as much as big brother… ;)

I agree 100%, less “reality TV” and more enlightening TV.
